Help me out here...
Wife is out of town with the GS. She calls me 200 miles into the trip and says the hvac/radio display has blacked out. The radio plays, the air blows but she can't adjust any of it. Any ideas as to what has happened? And no, she didn't turn the display "off". Thx in advance for your help.

Tell me about it! I could probably do something myself, if the car was here. Anyway, she'll be back today and hopefully it's something simple.

Yup, it just happened to a friend of mine on her 2006 GS430. Get ready to fork out 3k at least!

same thing happened to my wifes. i've done everything, tested the fuses, pulled out the nav and checked the plugs. No dealer near me either.

Yup, screen went out. But everything was working though.
With screen out, tough to control stuff.

Get ready for a big bill, or try to find a nav unit on ebay. Or like you say traded in, not sure who will want a trade in where the screen is done.

i have an appoitment with lexus tmrw. they said it could be the navs ecu or the screen. one is $300 and the other is $2000! lets hope for the ecu lol
