Default LED Scuff Plates?

Does anyone actually have a whole set of these installed? I've tried a number of different searches and find many IS's with them but not any GS's. Found a set discounted on Ebay but want to know what kind of install I'd be looking at before I pull the trigger and purchase them. Thanks

Stormforge is the one i know who has it. but the rear two are not plug and play, you need to splice into wires yourself. the front i believe should be staright forward, it's been option since 08

Thanks for the contact info, did you have a local dealer install them, car audio place or tackle it yourself? I'm pretty handy just didn't know if it was something I could do myself, didn't want to purchase them then have to pay another $200-$300 to get them installed. Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the help.

no problem with the questions, more than happy to answer them. i had a car audio shop install it for me, as i'm not good with anything electrical lol!

i would not recommend dealer as they can't think outside the box when it comes to installing oem lexus parts from japan. and would probably charge too much money.

if you know how to wire things or test wires (ie: which wire is the dome light wire, as that is the wire you need to trigger the sills to light up), then you should be able to figure it out. but i would budget labour for professional install just in case...i do recall one member here (forget his name) had problems installing the lighted sills, and he ended up getting professional help to finish the install off. not 100% sure on the last part, it's what i recall from a quick scan of his post.

I had them installed on my 2008. They looked great. I pulled them out of my totaled car back in November, but I haven't had a chance to get them re-installed in the '11. My dealer only charged $199 to install them, but I seriously think they didn't understand what I was telling them...about it being all 4 doors. They ended up keeping my car for 5 days. They still only charged me the $199 and I had a loaner the entire time, I just couldn't believe it was that hard to install.

It looked like, from taking it apart, they tied the back door into the front door and had an inline fuse. I'm not saying this is how it should be done, that's just how they did it...and it worked. These are not plug and play at all, whereas the 2010+ RX are plug and play. I don't really understand why Lexus sells an option that can't be installed rather quickly. That seems like an easy thing to account for in production.

that's not all 4 doors. the Lexus Japan set has to be ordered from Japan and you're looking at around $750, plus shipping. Anything much less than that, I would question what's included.
