Default just changed HID bulb on pass. side and problem

So my pass. light went out and replaced it with an OEM one. after i replaced it, the beam is not the same as it was before. It has a hot spot on that side. Is the ARC on the bulb suppose to be facing down, up, side (towards car or facing the street)? Did I not install it right? Help pls!

Thanks

Yep you didnt install it right, make sure the cut out holes on the bulb sit on the plastic nipples properly.

It need to sit in properly and it annoy me a bit that there is nothing to hold the bulb there while you put the clip back on.

When it's in properly it sits completely flush, if it's not flush you can still force the clip over it but it will not be installed right. Unfortunately it's a pain in the butt to figure out if you have it in there correctly or not, there is very little feedback by feel and difficult to see.

Also yes, it stinks that you have to have your hand in there with a finger on the bulb (in the way, of course) to hold it in the right place until you can get the clip on it with your other hand.
