I recently changed my HID light bulb and how they are both firing really high. The beam is shooting at the trees. Did I install it wrong or do you have to adjust the headlamp everytime you change the bulb?

I think I installed it right, the ground wire on the bulb us facing downward just like the stock bulb. I also aligned the bulb with the grove inside the headlight, so I think its good.

 

You might want to check if it's seated properly one more time, and if so what brand bulb did you buy?

 

I bought the Xenon D2R 4300K bulb. I didnt get the Phillips.

 

Should have got Philips, you can get a brand new pair off eBay for $80 shipped to your door.

 

I found the grove on the Xenon bulb to be slightly narrower, so when it was installed it was slightly tilted. I went ahead and cut it slightly wider, so I think its fixed now. It should be properly seated. I'll find out tonight when I take it out. Thanks for the help EMOSHUN.

 

i have the same problem. i changed mine to 6000k. they werent cheap ebay brand, but werent philips either. kinda look different.
