Received my new Philips 6000k XenEco D4S
Bought them off ebay for $95 shipped. I was skeptical because I see these sell for $250-$300 normally. Seller had 100% feedback and a risk free return policy, so why not.
Received them today, here's a picture...didn't come in OEM packaging, but who cares.

nice. Ultinons are the best 6000k bulbs period. best color too.
I'm actually taking 6000k ultinons out of my wife's GX and replacing it with Philips Color Match bulb. 6000k looks so sexy but its pretty dim.
take some before and after pics.

Ahh now I see the difference, Ultinons are the higher end model then. I wasn't looking to spend the doe on those. I planned on buying the Garax 6000k's for the same price as these, the Philips Made in Germany made me feel more at ease.
I'll install them tonight and try them out.

cowsgomoo, do you mind taking a pic with one bulb your old one while at the same this new bulb? take a pic with both bulbs ON. Maybe leave it on for awhile to let them warm up.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I know this thread is old ... but just to let future people who stumble on this thread know ... this bulb is not 6000K. Any seller telling you otherwise is lying or has no clue.
Philips Xeneco '42402' which this bulb clearly states it is in the pics is the OEM bulbs used by Lexus/Toyota and rated at 4100 to 4300K. They are excellent bulbs... but not 6000K thats all.

what about this website?

Is it legit? It gives you the option to choose 4300k or 6000k...

cowsgomoo - there are many companies in China selling bulbs as "Philips style" but claiming original Philips. You have to watch out for fakes. Is there any way you could post a pic or two of the actual bulbs??
Here are a few perfect examples of fake Philips bulbs and how to spot the difference. Even the fakes say Philips on the base.

Yes... There is a price difference. One set of bulbs is made in Germany whereas the other set are most likely made in China or Asia. I can't speak about the quality of the Garax bulbs but I can assure you that Philips bulbs (original Philips bulbs) are the most durable bulbs you can get. These are the same bulbs that are found in OEM HID applications. Yes, you are paying for the name to some degree however there is no question that from a quality standpoint these bulbs are unmatched.

What's the wording on your bulbs XenonDepot..bottom line about Europe/USA? On the Ultinon bulbs a bunch of us bought through the group buy from Nigel with JDMParts.com, our bulbs are not "legal" in the USA, and certainly not approved by the DOT.
