Ok the first time I installed I blew a fuse so I put everything back together to get it checked out. Now everything is ok. Ac works heat works tpms works so it's all good now it's on to part 2. Disassembling the car is a breeze this time around. Easy peasy. Thanks to all the help I got from rominl plug and play is all systems go. Now here is where I get stuck. Emulation. Do I have to start the car for it to start emulation. Which mode works best. I tried cd changer emulation. Read the instructions flip right (do they mean switch2) down
Ignition acc or on( is on better?) wait for a long beep. Man I'm not hearing any beep. So I just wait 2 mins, then I flipped switches to default up position.once again no beep. Turn off wait then turn on. The system sorta kinda works. But I don't get play lists can't watch videos na says unlocked but doesn't work. For all this trouble I could have gotten a cheaper version. What's with the no beeps. Someone who has done this before please instruct. I'd ask rominl but I already asked him multiple times. Don't wanna bother him. And vais forums don't let me post anything cuz I'm new.
you should program it into mp3 emulation. and yes, you need to put the car in acc (2 clicks i think without foot on brake) during the process as described in instructions.
if you use other emulation, you won't get stuff to display. also, there might not beeps. did you disable the beep sound in the navigation (one of the settings)? that might be why. but still, beeping sometimes just doesn't happen for whatever reason.
even with the sl2vi and sl2i-up (actually all vaistech) you will still need to do the emulation anyway, so just get through this and you are good
you too welcome john. i think this is what the forum is for, everyone helping each other out. don't give up on programming, it can be frustrating (especially if the first time programming didn't go well), but it will work.
