I have a 2008 GS350. I don't think the nav's map has ever been updated

I would lovvvvvve to get an update so the new and changed roads would show.

What are my options? Specifically,

1. How new is the newest map update that can be installed?

2. How hard would it be to updated it myself? And, if it's not too hard, what basically would I need to do?

Right now the latest navigation update would be 10.1 which can be purchased at the dealer or if you search on ebay you might find it as well. Its just a dvd with all the maps. You would have to go through the nav menu to eject the dvd which is located in the glove box.

Also you would have to search for a Generation 5 disc for your nav system. Any other nav update for previous generations will mess up the Nav drive.

If you wait till the fall I believe the 2011 update will be out by then.

yup just make sure you buy the 5th gen disc and the cd is located inside the top right corner of the glovebox.
