Default Used GS Questions

I have little to no exposure to a GS. Only familiar with second generation LS, RX second and third generation.

I have a few GS350 questions:
1- When did the GS get it's last freshen-up?
2- What was the first year the GS was offered AWD?
3- Is the GS primarily front wheel drive?
4- What year was the GS first offered with driver's cushion extension, if ever? If so, what package was it included in?

Answer-
1- Current Body (3rd gen) 2006. Minor changes in 2008
2- AWD offered in 2006 as GS300 AWD and in 2007+ GS350 AWD
3- GS is either Rear wheel or All wheel
4- I don't think it has been an option.

I appreciate your responses to my questions. It is strange cushion extensions have not been offered on the GS. They are offered on the ES, RX, LS460, also were offered on the LS430. The ES has had them for several years now. I hope Lexus catches the GS up on this option soon.
Again, thanks for the answers.

If you're much taller than 6'....you're not going to have much headroom. The GS is surprisingly small throughout.

I am going to guess because of the drivers position in the seat. In my wifes current ES350 and the LS430 use to own, you sat in a much more upright position and I actually used the seat extender in those vehicles. I've never felt the need for the GS to have this feature. Perhaps it's just me though. In the GS you feel like your in much more of a Sport's car position when seated. Everything sits kind of high around you (center consol, dash, and so on).

Yeah, wish I could get it but I'm probably gonna have to wait since I already bought another without waiting, don't have enough patience.

No links yet. Its expected to be unveiled at the New York Auto show at the end of April 2011. Maybe a proto-type or production model, anyhow the next GS is expected!!!
