My UK model (when pressure low) seems different. It gives me a sound warning whenever I start the car, and it stays displayed on the instruments. I can override the warning to check MPG for example, but then a few seconds later the "Low Tyre Pressure" warning comes back. Plus the red triangle and an orange symbol.
No, that's the same way the US models operate. No difference. They were talking about the message when there are no TPMS sensors in a new set of tires.
Only difference is that Lexus spelled tyre with a y it seems like for you Brits... It's spelled "tire" on US-spec cars...
Haha, the spelling on my warning is tire, not tyre, after all.
Lexus service fitted a new pressure valve today, to replace the temporary standard one. All is well.
No doubt about it, my UK car with only 3 TPMS fitted gave a 'Low Tire' warning. I vaguely remember reading the European versions have different TPMS valves, so the US ones don't work on UK cars.
I don't know if this is true.
