Thanks

Its almost as difficult as using the search function, make sure your odometer reads current mileage, turn the vehicle off, with foot off of the brake hit the push start so the dash lights up, hold the trip odo and reset buttons at the same time for 10 seconds and the dash should read oil maint reset

+1

If the above does not work for you, reading the owners manual will help.

Can't be more annoying then reading this question again and again, about once a week.

I feel like I should create a thread asking about how to reset my moonroof and answering it myself every week just so there is always something in the first page of threads since that seems to be a lot of people's preferred search method.

My first post was...

"What's a flux capacitor and how much will it cost to repair in my GS?" Doh!

You know, I come to this forum every day, at least once, and I do not recall ever seeing a thread about the oil reset light. I didn't even know there was an oil reset light. I guess I drive so little and change my oil so often that I never see it.

Anyway, if you guys didn't get so bent about repeat threads, they wouldn't get bumped to the top so often.

My owners manual has no 'search' function.

If you are annoyed by the question, go jump into one of the forum threads that you find attractive and leave this one alone. I STILL don't get why some of you guys are so picky about repeat questions.

It's like you guys watch the homepage like hawks, just waiting for any topic that might have been posted once in the prior 4 years, and then jump all over the OP for daring to bring it up.

yes, we know there's a search function, it just doesn't always return exactly what we are looking for.

how many miles have you driven your car since you had it? the oil life is programmed into the navi display and once you go 5k the light will come on and a message appears on the lcd screen. unless you reset it, you probably would have seen it by now.
