Default Air filter selection and install

Hello Fellow GS 300 owners,
I'd like to know if there is a preferred air filter that I should use for my 2006 GS 300? I also referenced the install procedure on this forum and will be using it once I chose an air filter. Thanks in advance for your help.

Go with an OEM air filter.

Under the hood or behind the glove box?

I'm using K&N under the hood. Car too new to even worry about the glove box filter...but will go OEM when that time comes.

I installed the Tom's sponge filter. Happy so far.

It literally took me maybe 5 minutes to take the old one out and put the new one in my 2006 gs300. Mine is through the glove box. Easiest job ever and saved myself $60.00 at the dealer. (cabin filter that is)

if you're reading the instructions on this forum for cabin filter....... just make sure you set the a/c to recirc.

if you can't directly see the air filter when taking the panel off, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah I would go with the K&N filter at least you never have to change it and also you get a louder sound, just a little sound difference.

OEM and change it the same as every other air filter on every other car made in the last 20 years.
