Question Navigation - Street Name Announcement

What's up CL...

I have looked high and low for this on the board..so forgive me if it's been asked.

I have a 07' GS350 ML with the 10.1 Nav DVD. Does the navigation announce street names? I noticed that it just says "Turn left on Route 73", but will not say "Turn left on Spring St."

Is there a setting that I'm missing? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks CL

I do not know about 10.1 version but the old version does not say the street names, just highway or interstate names.

Ahhh...I did upgrade to the newest version of the Nav map 10.1. But, I'm not understanding why an older version would have a feature that is a must in navigation technology. SMH...

I'm not sure what you mean. Just to be clear: NONE of the versions of GS navigation system have this feature. Yes, it's a nice feature, but many OEM navigation units still don't have it despite the fact that it's available in $100 portable units from every manufacturer.

Thanks....I just thought that it would be available as a feature.
