Navigation version
Hello all,
I'm about to purchase a 2012 2IS... How do I tell what map version the Navigation is running. The dealer is telling me he has the latest version installed, but I don't trust the $tealer.
How do I look up the current version install and what is the the CURRENT version of the navigation? Want to make sure they update to the latest if he's fibbing. Also, how long does it take to update the Navigation to the latest maps?

Latest version is 14, corresponding to 2014. Go into the nav screen and one of the buttons will show you what version you have loaded into the system. Your car probably came with version 11. Frankly there isn't that much difference in versions unless you travel to areas with lots of new roads.
I had a 2015 Lexus ES loaner last week and it was showing a restaurant in the system that has been out of business for at least 8 years. It's good to get the latest version but it isn't worth all that much.

Are the upgrades "VIN specific"... meaning you can only installed a purchased NAV upgrade for your own specific car and only for that VIN#?? Infiniti does this bull*****.
I have a 2012 2IS, which is Gen 6 and apparently uses USB updates.
How long does the entire update take. Thanks
