Default My alignment guy told me to do the following...

If I drill the holes, he will be able to adjust camber for my front tires. There is nothing he can do for the rear though. I took a pic and labled things, take a look, let me know if this is safe?

that's how some camber kits work, but question is how are you going to tightly stabilize the location and make sure it doesn't slide left and right randomly (even slightly)?

^^^ they are identical on both sides. Not sure about stability though, he said he's done it on other cars. I will ask him next time I see him

Gut feeling is that this is a bad idea in the long run but what do I know?

Only thing I can think of is machining some type of spacer that sat in the oval drill out that had a hole drilled specifically where you needed the camber adjusted too. If you needed to adjust in the future to a different position then a new spacer would have to be machined with the new position.

This is tricky work and not sure if I would want my car cut up like this.

I thought they were different when I was working on the car The rear, #2, is different then the front. Let me see if I have any pics that I kept that would show. Maybe Im thinking of something else.

He also told me that you can adjust camber on IS / ISF. So, if IS is based on GS, would not those parts be the same or similar? Maybe we could just replace the part instead of drilling holes

2is and isf do not have camber adjustment as far as i know. there are camber kits for those cars, and mike already have those installed on his car

thats my only concern. any type of slotted connection (like hes suggesting) is typically designed for movement like expansion and contraction hence why its slotted. i wouldnt trust things staying in place using this method.

Why... there are shops that can correct some of the 2"+ drops by adjusting the toe. Wear is almost perfect across the tire. Yes, it requires bending the arms and so on, but I think its a safer bet then doing what was suggested above.
