For some reason, one morning my mirrors wouldn't go down when I went into Reverse. So I just opened the panel and pushed one of the L or R buttons to get it working again. But every few days it reverts back and I have to go back in and set it again.
The first time it happened, it was an uncommonly very cold morning... probably the coldest all last year. Not sure if that has anything to do with a switch acting up.
Any thoughts?
While I'm at it, what are those Cluster Auto, Hi/Lo, etc settings all about?
Hi. Page does not help.
I've searched the forums and haven't found related issues. The thread you posted, although related, does not help. Everything works as it should, just seems to default back on its own.
I've been dealing with the same problem for the past month. I however was waiting to do a battery disconnect/cpu reset because I had ordered a new Optima battery and was waiting to charge/install it.
After I obviously reset the cpu and installed the new battery, problem gone.
Same thing was happening with other memory settings like the positioning of the mirrors and the brightness of the gauge backlight.
Cows - that's really good feedback. Now that you mention it, lately the battery is a little slow to start the car after weekends where I don't drive it at all. Hopefully I'll have the same results once I get a new battery. THANK YOU!
