Default Lip or No Lip??

Just wanted some honest opinions from my Lexus Family.....if you were to get some new wheels or in the mood to replace a set....would you stick with wheels with a "Lip" or go "No-Lip??" Or better yet, go concave?? What new look will 2011 bring us??

Happy New Year to all My Lexus Diehards!!!!!!!!!!

I like staggered lip wheels personally but honestly wheels opinions shouldn't really be asked unless it's a fitment question as its really a matter of personal tastes. Who cares if 95% of people like them if you don't like em.

I like Lips. Undecided weather I like step lip better cause it makes the wheel look smaller. I heard a lot of wheels at SEMA were concave.

Lippage all the way. Not even a thought.

Why?

Because lipped wheels look aftermaket or custom. Straight-faced or no lip looks stock. No way I'd spend big bucks on wheels that look like stock.
Concaves are nice but it's a fad. I don't like to floow fads. Next 6 months they might be out of style. Never liked following the crowd. Nice lips change the character of the car.

It's not even close.....imo of course. But it makes a lot of sense!

In my opinion wheels with lips look cheap as if they were put together by a guy with 1970s machining equipment and engineering.

OEMs have moved to lipless, concave designs because they look better. Aftermarket hasn't kept up because most don't have the tools to make a quality forged lipless wheel.

Vossen's concave designs are the the best third-party wheels - Vossen clearly has the scale and tooling to make a bang up to date design.

That's what I think. But I'm not American, and we know American's have a love for wheels that look like they didn't come from the designer as the car.

It's not just Americans. Look at the Asians with their huge lips and VIP stuff. How lips could look cheap, I can't even put any logic to that. Weak attempt to put down something you don't like. Is that what you all call a fail?
