Default I need front brake pads!

Hi guys, I just wanted to know which brake pads I should go for! I am sick and tired of squeeling brakes! These are my 2nd set of OEM pads on two different rotors.

It's time to change the pads to aftermarket!

Please let me know which brand is the best ( and does not squeel ) so I can go ahead and order ASAP!

Thanks in advance guys!

I have on Akebono brake pads, no squeeling, no dust, and stopping power of OEM pads. I would suggest getting Satisfied GranSport 6 Pads they are carbon ceramic material all high end cars are using this now. Both of the pads I mentioned can be bought at tirerack.com. Check them out.

Just got my car's brakes fully replaced under SB-004009. Included new anti-squel pads and new rotors. No Charge for this service and better yet no squel....

How long have you driven on your new pads? I had my pads replaced as well with OEM new pads, and the squeeling came back after 4000 miles.

It's interesting that you have this issue. I am 11,000 miles on original brakes and pads, and still no squealing.

EBC red's on stock rotors. A+ no dust or noise at all.

I just brought my car (07 gs350 AWD) back to Lexus yesterday for this brake noise. They were repalced in Feb 2010 along with the rotors as part of a recall. My SA said I'm the 3rd GS recently that has complained. I will let you know what happens. Let see if lexus will keep on replacing my brakes!

Our brakes fade much faster due to lots of stop-go traffic hence the premature squeals.

My car has been at the dealer since yesterday for the 30k kms service. Just got a call from the tech saying this:

Your front pads are completely worn out, and the aftermarket drilled rotors have caused the acceleration of this wear! We will replace all your rotors with OEM new rotors and OEM new non squeel pads under warranty!

He also said that he will keep the drilled rotors in my trunk cause they belong to me!

WOW!!!

On my 2008, I had the OEM brakes changed at 700 miles because of the dust. At 9500 miles I had the SB-004009 applied. I only had a chance to use those pads and rotors for about 2 weeks before the car was totaled. I have no idea what the OEM part number for the 2011 GS350 AWD pads are, but they seem to be very good. No dust and no squeals.

What is SB-004009?

I had my 18 month/15k mile service done this morning at 11,700 miles. Turns out my front brake pads are down to 1-2mm, and 3mm on the rears. I'm an aggressive driver so I'm not surprised.

Can I get free brake replacement with SB-004009? My car is a 2008 GS460.

If not, what should I expect to pay to replacement front and rear pads at the dealership?

Got my car back yesterday. Turns out only the front rotors were replaced under warranty, and they made me pay for the pads. The cars brakes much better now and no sound... but let's see how long that lasts!

So now I got my rear rotors cross drilled... which looks funny. I need to put back my OEM rotors on the rears!

I already ordered two sets of StopTech pads. They are on their way!

SB-0040-09 front brakes squealing/squeak in cold weather.
Free rotors & pads replacement, but it only applies to GS350 2007-2008.

But there is a L-SB-0155-09: excessive brake dusts on front wheels.
It applies to GS460 2008-2009.
Only free brake pads.
