Default Heated steering wheel

Did the search... I can't believe there is no topic about this.

I don't have remote start and I don't like the idea of my car being able to drive away without me in the driver seat.

So.... any mod I can do so my steering wheel won't be freezing cold?

I've looked into steering wheel cover but they r so ugly.

Any ideas? thanks.

No unfortunately Lexus doesn't have heated steering wheels in this model. For that you need to buy something else.

Alternatively just wear gloves.

only car (suv) I drove that had this was a BMW X5 about 7 years ago. It was actually really nice in the winter months but I cant say I have been in a car with one since. Im sure someone must have an aftermarket kit for this.

The upside is no steering wheel on fire recalls. But really, if it doesn't bother me in our climate ... just suck it up, it warms up fast enough all on it's own.

My last car (05 Maxima) had the winter package that included the heated steering wheel. It is the most missed feature of that car hehe. It kinda sucked in a way because the thermastat did not adjust properly, sometimes not hot enough, sometimes too hot and with an auto shutoff after 30 minutes makes long trips less cozy.

Sorry but my car takes forever to warm up. Winter gloves do not make great driving gloves.

Would trade my cassette deck for a heated steering wheel any day...

For that matter, I would trade my cassette deck for seat warmers that worked.

You're car can't drive away with an auto start, once you hit the brakes it shuts off. Get an auto start youll be fine.

Maybe with mittens. But with leather driving gloves I think you will find better grip than with your hands.

Even though I'm in California, I would still prefer a heated steering wheel. Sometimes the wood is a bit too cold to the touch.

I agree. heated wheel most missed feature on my 04 maxima. Went to an 05 escalade and it did not have this option so going to the lexus I'm used to it but still def. miss the extra hot soft gooey leather steering wheel that heated up in about 15 seconds.

Yep I have an 03 Maxima with the heated steering wheel and love it, I also have a remote start on the Lexus you gave to disarm the alarm and hit the brake within 30 seconds or the car will shut off!!
