Angry Bad Day!

Ugh...what a bad day. My GS has been at the dealer since 11/5 for the ALE campaign and a clicking noise in my driver's seat. Anyways, ALE was done in a few days but the seat noise took some time. I had to go test drive with them to show them the noise. From there, they needed some time to diagnose, get approval from the DPSM, then order parts.

Anyways, I got a call yesterday stating that it's done so I headed there this morning to pick it up. 1.5 hours of being stuck in traffic, I finally arrive and get my car and it's driving great and no more clicking noise.

About two miles from home, this fricking car in front of me ran over a steel rod (of some sort) and it was too late for me to avoid it. In short, this rod gashed my front bumper and broke my parking sensor. It was a flawless front bumper due to the 3M clear bra that's been on it all its life too! <sigh>

I know it could always be worse so I'm grateful for that. I called my insurance company and am just waiting on an adjuster to call me and come by. I asked if they'd replace my clear bra and the lady on the phone stated that she does not think so but I'd have to ask the adjuster. WTF?

Sorry....had to vent!

I know how you feel. On the bright side, it would feel much worse if it was your fault that it happened.

Hopefully your comprehensive deductible is low and that the insurance company will put a brand new bumper on instead of only authorizing body work to repair it.

Yeah...there's always a bright side and it could always be worse.

I have a pretty low deductable. Only $200 so I'm content with that. I will push for a new bumper too.

Thanks, Fellas. What a pain. I'm on vacation all of next week and the last thing I want to do is hassle with this crap.

Hate to see things like this happen to good people. Glad no one was hurt

You know this means its time to trade the car in for something new

yup, one time i was driving back from LV, a big piece of tire flaw on my gs... well, the whole grille shattered and i had to get a new one. painful, but know what, damaging anything else up front (hood, headlights, bumpers), it would have been a lot more expensive

Sorry to hear that bro, I would definitely make them replace the clear bra, and make sure the bodyshop uses an OEM bumper if they replace it. The clear bra isn t cheap I would cuss everybody out until something gets done!!! Good luck!

I could only imagine. I almost ran over a tire doing like 120, could have gotten ugly.
