Question 3GS430 check system issues, please help!

I'm new to posting but, I've used other threads to sole problems before. So I hope the community can help me out another this time.

Three days ago (after not driving the entire weekend) my car started up but now had a few new lights and messages for me. Check VSC, the malfunction indicator lamp, the slip indicator light and yellow brake system warning light were all on. This morning I was greeted with an additional low tire pressure warning along w/ the master warning light (an issue I have dealt w/ before when I had a leak), but when I went to check my tires they were all the same pressure.

Any advice as to what could be causing this? I'm hoping/assuming these two warnings are separate issues, and I have read that the VSC could be something as simple as a loose gas cap which was loose and I corrected the day the message appeared in my display.

The gas cap always seems loose to me even though I suppose it isn't. It will take some time for the message to go away if that was your problem if you don't have a scanner to clear the code right away which I'm guessing you don't.

Some car parts chains will scan codes for free you need to get it scanned to find out exactly what's going on. The tire pressure low warning thing could just be because you or somebody accidentally toggled the mode switch under the glove box.

Anybody this day in age with a car out of warranty should have an OBD2 reader. That's all I've got to add.

its easy to tell if the gasket is bad on your gas cap. open the gas lid door and slightly turn the cap. if it turns about 1/4 turn and comes off, then your gasket it bad. it should be about a 1/2 turn or more before it comes off.
