Default Interior Wood Trim Swirls...

I noticed that my interior wood trim has some swirls. I tried some ScratchX with some results (maybe I just need to use more of it), but I was wondering if any of you had any success in restoring the OEM wood trim?

it's just a matter of polishing (time and effort), much like detailing / polishing the outside paint of the car. you can use more (too much won't help) or some other better polisher / pads

not sure if Scratch-X comes in different types for different finishes but in a previous thread everyone praised the scratch-x for getting rid of swirls on the center console

I've used Plast-X to good results. I'm pretty sure the coating over the wood veneer is acrylic. It just takes time and elbow grease.

I used Plast-X on my SC's woodgrain and at night i notice it's a little hazy in some spots when the light is hitting it. What'd I do wrong?

you might have polished off too much of the clear coat.
plastx is a little harsher than scratchx too.

the other reason- you might be seeing the uneven coating on the center stack wood.

I just did mine this weekend with the scratch x acryclic repair kit. You just polish the surface with the stuff, remove, and BOOM....mirror finish on your console and no more scratches ( for now)
