Lexus wood trim is easy. Treat it like your car's exterior, as it is finished too. Just take a little more care. I use a quality microfiber towel, the PakShak MICROPAK™ Ultra-Micro Fiber Towel, available with a ClubLexus discount.

A little quick detailer spray (QD) on the microfiber (MF) towel and wipe down the wood trim...Beautiful and simple! You could even skip the QD spray and use a little water on the MF towel, if the trim is not too dusty. The QD acts as a lubricant to help prevent dust from scratching.

You may also want to consider a California Car Duster for your interior. They make a small model especially designed for the interior.

Some people apply some sort of carnauba wax like P21S, S100 or Pinnacle. Some people use an acrylic or polymer sealant like Klasse, Zaino, or Meguiar's #20, but these are individual choices...Geez, Lemon Pledge is even the choice for many. Lexus wood trim has a hard finish that stands up very well and requires only mild cleaning, if done properly. Get some quality MF towels ASAP. You'll be glad you did. Please do not scrimp on these.

Good luck.

I use MinWax wood cleaner in my car. It cleans it very nice and leave a nice finish and smell.

At the same time I have no idea how this product will work for me years down the road. I would love to hear a reply from someone who is an original owner of a ten year plus LS400. What do they use and how did it hold up.

When shopping for my 91 I found several LS with the wood in the center consol cracked up. When shopping for my 98 I did not see any cracked dashes only steering wheel but that's another issue.

So any ways the Minwax work great. Main thing in maintaining fine wood try to stay away from arousal products. I get my Minwax wood cleaner from Loews Hardware.

hope this helps but still want more of your opinions.
