Default GS300 Maintenance Question

Hey All,

After owning my 3GS for about 7 months now, I absolutely love it.

I recently replaced my OEM struts with Tein CST Coil-Overs. I haven't taken it in for any maintenance since, but now it's time for an oil change. So I was curious to know if by taking my car in for an Oil Change / Regular Maintenance, if I would be denied or have any issues because of the Coil-Overs?

Also, the car is due for it's 45k service, but the dealership wants $780 and I don't know exactly what they do for a 45k service but $780 seems a bit steep to me.

One last item, Oil Changes at the Lexus Dealership are $75, I've read on the forum somewhere the Toyota Dealerships will service Lexus Vehicles but at a much cheaper price... This accurate?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1) no the dealer will not deny you an oil change because you have coilovers
2) i dont know off hand what is recommened at the 45k oil change but i know its posted on here. im pretty sure its a lot of simple stuff that you can do yourself for 1/4 of the price
3) yes toyota will do an oil change for you and they even carry the filters.

If you have any problems because of the suspension changes, then yes, they will deny you. Anything directly connected to the shocks is fair game, probably even the wheel hub / bearings / etc.

Anything unrelated there is no reason to deny coverage.

correct, if they can prove the mods to be the cause of the defect, then warranty denied.

do your own oil change. most auto parts have sales on oils. and look in the diy for the oil change. i admit that the gs is a bit diff. then most cars since the filter is an actual paper filter. but other than that its the same as any other car.g/l
