Default Would you purchase another GS?

Im curious how many would purchase another GS after owning a 3gen GS. Its interesting to read these threads were some members came from a 2gen GS and even when someone had a 2006 and purchased a more recent year.

I have been driving many different cars over the past few weeks. Some very nice cars and some not so nice. I finally drove my car yesterday and I must say it made me appreciate my GS more then I have over the past year. Im glad that I made the decision to keep the GS and not sell it as I wanted to.

If I could change a few things on my GS it would be the front seats. I wish we had seats similar to the IS or ISF being a sport sedan.

So I have some interesting projects ahead with the GS as it sits in the garage for the winter months. Hope when spring rolls around I will have an interesting thread for everyone

I would.. I drive my GS on the weekends or on rainy days. I like it when people pass the car and nod their heads.

I would but only if it continues to be a value buy relative to a BMW. Having driven the competitors, these are the only 2 cars I would consider. I might put Jag back on the list if they get the 8 speed ZF transmission.

I drive my car 10 days a month, given my travel schedule, so I want a car which is both fun to drive as well as not overpriced and prone to heavy depreciation. My GS460 has so far performed very well on both counts.

I would, especially if they sort out the squeaks and creaks in 4GS. Chances also improve if they offer one with a V8 and a quality manual 6 speed transmission.

Then again I don't plan on ever really selling my current one until it's a complete pile of trash (which I hope will be a very long time from now), so it would have to be significantly different from the current model.

This won't happen. Jaguar used to do that and they lost money on each one because of how few numbers were produced. No scale efficiency.

Yeah I don't expect it to happen at all, it would just be nice if it happened. :P I can only imagine how nice driving the GS would feel with a nice solid shifter and a soft clutch.

I think yes, he GS would top my list.

The total package of the car is what makes it great. Good looks, semi-sport / lux feel, strong reliability and good residual.

I'm going to say no.....but only because I really miss driving a coupe.
I plan to keep the 2 we have (unless plans change) while adding to the fleet.
I love the GS for its unique style, its luxurious yet semi-sporty ride and its more-expensive-than-it-is overall look and feel.
I don't have all the rattles everyone else complains about but the few squeaks I had, have disappeared.
Its a high-styled ride and I dig it.

i would. it does seem the next gen will have some tough competition.they re did the e-class and the bmw's. so next gs should blow both companies out of the water.though im not too excited to see my car become a "last gen".lol

Absolutely without a doubt. I love this car. Next time will be a 460 though.
