Default Possible purchase

I'm looking to purchase a 2007 gs350 and have been reading this forum, which has been a great source of information. I noticed on one of the cars i'm considering that the carpet in the rear passenger side floor is raised up like its bloated. At first i thought maybe there had been some water damage but i felt around and it feels firmlike there's something underneath the carpet. It is visibly raised. Odd first post i know, but i like the car and want to figure out if this is normal, a sign of prior damage, or maybe a dead rat. Any ideas?

lmao. show me the carfox. show me the carofx, show me the carfox!!!! thats it. because its a messed up rug doesnt mean it was in a lake. it could have been a million diffrerent things( okay, maybe not a million) but theres a few explanations i could come up with. how much are they asking and the mileage? and the car fax. if its cpo no worries about water damage.

Carfax is clean, which is nice but of course cant rely on it to report everything. Price is reasonable so nothing alarming there and the car is still under warranty. Thought it might be wiring or just part of the car, but guess its not "normal" and i'll need to check it further.

it's possible that the floor is pushed up from the bottom when the driver ran over something. look under the car to see if you see a huge dent where you see the bulge in the carpet.

There's a known issue with blocked a/c condenser drain lines causing the right floor area to get soaked. This could be the reason why and the person that fixed it never replaced the carpet like they should have.

Now that could make sense. I'll definitely pursue it and look for water damage. Thanks guys.
