I had to do the same thing since they could not match GFM pearl. What color is your car because any of the pearl colors are a 3 stage paint.

damn how much does it usually cost? I got into an accident and the front of my car is darker :/ Its like half maroon and half matador red..The guy told me i won't even notice the difference! But he didn't paint the bracket thing that runs from the front of the car to the back on the side of the windshield so its an easy comparison!

My car is going into the dealers next month for a complete paint change. Cost including weather strips.. a modest $3000

It's getting painted in Sepang Bronze, and tinted tail lights.

My paint job is going to cost around 5-6k after all is said and done. Plus and 3 stage must be a complete so you can get the tints right on the top coat. From the factory you will never know how much was applied. That why most spot jobs of pearls never match.

That's a great price! Here in the US for $3K you would be lucky to get the doors painted for that price. Heck I paid $1000 just to have the top of my car painted black.

Thanks for posting those pics. Looks they're prepping for a very thorough job. Do you know if any previously painted areas nooks or crannies will be unreachable? I'm wondering if someone looked closely afterward whether or not they could tell it was repainted. Not that it matters .... just curious how thorough they can be without completely disassembling every little part.

yeah since I paid cash he cut me a deal on the job. I will have to say this is by far the most I have ever taken a car apart that is this new. I do know it is for sure being done right with what I have seen them doing. The entire car has been getting wet sanded this week to prep the door jams for paint this Friday. I will post pictures after the jams have been painted and thank IXI187IXI for the headlight it should be here tomorrow

Wow.....Definitely looks like it's being done the right way. That is a great price for truly a complete color change.. I can't wait to see the end result but enjoy also looking at the progress pics too. Might I inquire what color or do we have to wait and see....

ps: if you tell me silver, I could have saved you some money...straight across trade (lol).
