All ready did the rear badges. Today I did the front grill and the roof. Turned out pretty good. I just gotta get another can and finishes an area around the sun roof.
Na it holds really well. My buddy used it last winter on his rims and it did not peal or split. When he wanted to peal it off it came off easy. it took about 1hr to get all the little pieces off of all of the rims. pressure washer works really well too.
Kudos for trying it, but I think ya gotta go with a gloss finish on the roof if you do it at all. That way it blends with the windshield, sunroof and back glass.
But like you pointed out ... All you have to do is peel it off if you get tired of it. Can't do that with regular paint obviously.
I agree with CAK that a gloss finish would look better on the roof. Love the plasti-dip.
I've been trying to get my roommate to do his emblems and front grill as well and I keep telling him that if he doesn't like it, he can "peal" (peel) it right off.

I don't know why everyone likes the black roof thing. I prefer the clean look of the GS in normal paint configuration. I think the black roof detracts from the flow of the lines.
That having been said, I think it looks bad. Something about the flat black on a 3GS.
