I remember seeing that thread and the possessed IS steering wheel before. So what HID kit do you have installed in your fogs?

I haven't had any issues with my steering, I'm using the XenonDepot Xtreme 3000k kit just ziptied to the bottom of the bumper cover below each fog light.

hidextra kit and it sorta makes sense since my ballast isnt down behind my bumper but up in my engine by behidn the washer fluid which seems to be the same spot as in that thread. I'll move my ballasts to the bumper this weekend and see how it goes.

Also if XenonDepot provides zip ties and doesn't mention any need to physically ground the ballast case in the installation instructions and I do believe they know what they are talking about, then that is just further evidence that it's not necessary.

Safest thing is to just get high quality parts and install them as far away from anything sensitive in the engine bay as you can.

Don't buy it. I am not forcing that on to you. Am I?

I am merely presenting the facts. You make your own decisions.

Whether Xenon depot says this or that has nothing to do what my observations are. With due respect to Steve, Just because somebody is in business for 10 years does not mean he/she is aware of everything that there is to the product he/she is selling.
In your own argument, seniority rules and the country should have elected Mccain as prez as he is old and in the biz for many years.

its all very good information and something i never even thought about. i will be relocating the ballasts down to the bottom of the bumper, away from any electronics. worse comes to worse, i'll just remove them for a week and see what happens

I had mines done in Jan of 2009 for this problem. It will be under warranty. Your dealership should be responsible for telling you this.
