Cool Dashboard cover

Hi all.

I've search all over but couldn't find any info so I'm asking the question.

Is there any deep dark black dashboard cover for GS430 '06 ?

The reflection from the dashboard on the windshield is annoying me when driving with the sun on top or in front. Any DIY? It need to withstand over 100 degree heat and in direct sunlight absorbing all light. Is there anything like this?

Thanks.

Dash covers = Fail... Better off doing 50% windshield tint IMO...

Dash covers are ugly IMO. I don't think it's reflective or annoying at all stock. You're not using Armor-All or any other cleaner that leaves a cheesy glossy finish, are you?

The part about it's being illegal. Dam cop pulled me over for just 30% tint.

I found this.... made specifically for GS430.

autoparts warehouse . com/sku/Lexus/GS430/Coverking/Dash_Cover/2006/Base/8_Cyl_4-dot-3L/C37CDCP1LX7053.html?tlc=Interior+Accessories

what ya think?

that's not gonna get rid of any reflection.

and it will be less safe to drive at night.

to the OP, just get some kind of carpeted cover. who cares how it looks
if the reflection bothers you that much.

The tint might increase the reflection of the dash too. Best to keep it clear and clean.

Respectfully disagree. For as long as I can remember I have had the entire windshield of all my cars tinted in a 50% film. It eliminates all glare and does not inhibit vision. It also eliminates the need for sunglasses, protects the dashboard, and makes is easier to see the navigation display while driving during the day.

Anybody who has a tinted windshield will agree and once you have it done to a car it will be very hard to go back to driving a car without it.

I'm looking for something less 'retard'.

How about spray paint? Something base, deep dark black, none reflective?

you want something less permanent.

maybe you can get a not-so-sticky vinyl overlay with a matte finish.
maybe avery denison makes something of the sort
