I hope Araina was just playing along. Even I, a fob Asian, knows what the flux capacitor is.

GREAT NEWS ! They found the problem, ( after i showed pictures of flooring with leakage at work and home where car resided ) persistence paid off with dealer
( whom was always polite throughout the weeks). due to the VSR replacement there was a gasket seal leak, they corrected this. Off to pick up my GS again for the 3rd time. Have a good feeling its done right now !

Guess ill keep the Lexus GS now. <smiles>

I let them take mine in today. I didn't really want to. I went there for oil change but the service rep kept insisting. I was like, why are you trying so hard to do this? After asking that a few times my opinion is this is a good money-making deal for the dealership.
When the guy threatened that they would not be responsible for issues if I refuse the fix, I gave in.
They've done over 1500 so I felt better about getting it done. I was told the car would be ready tomorrow. I hope so. I want my own ride for the holiday.

The guy threatened you? He doesn't have the authority to void your warranty if anything happens. As a matter of fact, if the service advisor threatens me, I'd walk out immediately and report him. Seriously?!

Well, it wasn't a full fledged threat. He sort of intimated that if I refuse and something goes wrong that wouldn't be a good thing.
The other reason I did it was one of my wheels is in the shop being resealed. So I'm driving around with 3 custom wheels and one stock wheel. Not something I dig. Now the car is in the shop and my wheel should be ready tomorrow. The two birds with one stone thing.

Still, no intimidation/threat should be associated with customer service.

.
Both the service writer, parts dept and tech gets paid hours/commission from Lexus for the job. Why dealers love recalls is because its guaranteed paid work with zero chance of a charge back from Lexus. The reason why dealers give a hassle for warranty work sometimes but not recall is there is a chance the warranty claim can get kicked back from Lexus and come back as a null claim, the dealer ends up eating the cost of both parts and labor. Even if the warranty work was a valid claim, if somewhere along the way the claim was not filed correctly you get hit back. Trust me i know, im in the business myself.

Got the car back. It seems no worse nor better....which is a good thing cause I wasn't having any problems. There is a road to my house where I usually hit 80-90 mph, it reminds me of the entrance to the batcave with all the over-hanging trees....I was afraid to punch it with the fresh repair. Maybe tomorrow.

Over 250 miles since VSR completed. No ill effects...silky smooth as before.

Also, flux capacitor error light has stayed off which is great.
