so after an extensive search, i have only come across a single thread (which wasn't of much help to me at all) so i am now asking fellow members.

i'm sure most of you know how bad the bluetooth call quality is on the GS models. i have absolutely no problem listening in on the receiving end of the call however, i have received several complaints about people not being able to hear me. to my understanding, there is some sort of service menu that can be accessed and used to adjust the quality/clarity and such. does anyone know how to do this? furthermore, i am open to any/all methods (aftermarket systems, etc.)

as always, help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance

Bluetooth Phone Quality
Sorry to hear about your problem, but you should not say that all GS Bluetooth phone service is crappy. At least mine works great in both outgoing and incoming. I have asked people whom I am talking to how the reception is and they say great. If you have any warranty left take it up with the dealer warranty department and be firm about resolving the issue.

gs350 that means at least 2007. you can adjust the volume in the diagnostic menu i believe. hit the display screen and then do the top left bottom left corners a few times iirc

I had a similar problem in the RX went to Lexus and spoke to the service writer he came out looked at the menu's asked for my phone very simply turned the phone off and back on waited for it to reconnect etc. made a call to the desk inside phone was fine after that so when it happens again I simply turn the phone off and on.

I think you hold the info button and turn the headlights on and off three times to get to the menu. Then you will be able to get to the Bluetooth settings and increase the mic sensitivity.

However be careful because if you make it to sensitive then you will pick up a lot of background noise and it will be worse.

Also make sure your ac vents are not pointing upwards. The flow of air from the ac can cause noise for the mic which is located by the rvm.

Here you go:

1. START DIAGNOSTIC MODE
(a) There are 2 methods to start diagnostic mode. Start
the mode by using one of them.

(b) Method 1
(1) Start the engine.
(2) While pressing and holding the "INFO" switch,
operate the light control switch: OFF → Turn ON
→ Turn OFF → Turn ON → Turn OFF → Turn
ON → Turn OFF.
(3) The diagnostic mode starts and the "System
Check Mode" screen will be displayed. Service
inspection starts automatically and the result will
be displayed.

(c) Method 2
(1) Start the engine.
(2) Press the "DISP" switch.
(3) From the display quality adjustment screen,
touch the corners of the screen in the following
order: upper left → lower left → upper left →
lower left → upper left → lower left.
(4) The diagnostic mode starts and the "System
Check Mode" screen will be displayed. Service
inspection starts automatically and the result will
be displayed.

2. FINISH DIAGNOSTIC MODE
(a) There are 2 methods to end diagnostic mode. Use
one of them.
(1) Turn the engine switch off.
(2) Press and hold the "DISP" switch for 3 seconds.

3. DIAGNOSIS MENU
(a) The "Diagnosis MENU" screen will be displayed by
pressing the menu switch on the "System Check
Mode" screen.

There, on the diagnostic screen you will see a box "Bluetooth check". touching it will open the menu where you can increase the mic volume.

BE CAREFUL and do not screw up any other settings.

Never a bluetooth issue. Just because yours seems to give you a problem don't generalize and say all GS models have louzy bluetooth issues.
