So i was watching a walkaround of a LS460 and saw that the door "Self Vacuums" or closes by it itself if we dont shut it all the way. The video says it vacumms the door shut which doesnt really make sense to me but i thought it was really cool. I was just wonderin if the 3GS also has this feature?

 

I don't think so. The trunk on the 3GS as a motorized closer, but u sorta have to have it close to being closed.

I think i have seen this on the newer BMW 7 sereis.

 

A lot of old mercedes have them, they are a pita if they break down. I look at it as less maintenance for the GS.

 

ive noticed that the 3GS does have the trunk closer. but i thought the door wouldve been realy cool to show off..

 

The door closing mechanisms are for older folk who can't close their doors all the way.

 

yea it's called Easy Closer and it's electronically controlled by the door lock actuator. if it breaks, it's going to be over 1 grand for the part. It works like our trunks.

 

that's where extended warranty really becomes useful!

 

until it runs out and you have to pay to play.

 

yeah i agree it would be a neat thing to have......... wonder how much it would cost to install on a GS.
