Default use PWR/snow switch for dvd mod?

I'm about to mod my new 07 GS350 with ML and was wondering if I can just turn the car onto pwr which will cut power to the VSS? I'm just unsure of the back of the button and before i go digging i was just wondering if anyone else has done this.

I can't find a decent switch that'll match the others. Option 2 would be taking out the VSC switch from my 01 gs300 and using that.

I was thinking about that but it would look weird having 2 pwr/snow buttons next to eachother and i didn't see a decent way to remove the lettering on the switch. With so many buttons already in the car maybe i'll find some button i never use. I'm thinking using the fog switch and just wiring the fogs to the headlight.

You could use the unused switch in the drop down control panel. I don't think anyone has done that yet.

^^ i was just going to mention that. that top right button is an unused button for the USDM GS. in Japan i believe that button is for the led fogs.

spray paint the spare pwr/snow button black, then silk screen a new label on top of the button. or add an aftermarket switch. i don't recommend wiring fogs to the headlight, you lose the ability to turn fogs off separately.

^ correct, led daytime running lights is a totally different button.

This is my UK with all buttons used FYI.
(I haven't found out what the extra one is for yet. It look like a switch to disable an interior roof sensor, maybe part of the alarm setup? It's not in the user manual front pages.)

Great picture, now i am actually trying to figure out the solar beams that are coming down to the interior what that means? Any lights when you press that button?

To the OP, I would DEFINATLY not mess with the power/snow button. There is so much other ways to do it that its just insane messing with something that perfect.

Nothing on the dash lights when I just tried it. I'll try it when it's dark in case it's an interior light override or something.

couple of options but may not meet the standards you've set. something to consider.
