it depends on what you want, color, look, heat reduction, etc...

for example my m3, it's a lease so no point in spending money, i want some color, so i get dyed film (as long as not metallic). it's cheap, like 150, but it does nothing on heat. my car is freaking hot.

some people like the mirror finish on some metallic tint, that's another choice

for some they prefer function (heat reduction), then you gotta go with ceramic or brands that are for that purpose. that's why i got huper optik on my gs350. but it's not the only brand with good heat reduction of course

I'm just going for normal dark tint, nothing special. So brand wise doesn't really matter right?

personally i don't see big difference. just be careful, i would avoid metallic tint, you never know if it's going to affect navigation

huper optik? i got it from a local store called song's master (in k town). huper optik is not cheap, figure about 500 bucks for all around (except windshield).

for my m3, the normal dye tint, i got special pricing, but you can figure around 150.

from what i see tint pricing varies quite a bit according to regions

i am from your area, SAn jose...and to me that is too much money. i paid 280.00 and 10 hours later i was able to open my windows. i know couple places that will do different tint options for less then 350.00 as well.

This is probably the one thing that's cheaper in Miami. Reputable local shop here does Huper Optik for $350 computer cut.

Ceramic is the way to go. Either huper optic, pinnacle or 3M Nano.
