sorry if this has been asked before, tried a search but couldn't find the answer i was looking for.

does anyone know if there is a way to set the power sunshade so that when you drive off it doesn't automatically go back up?

i took the car to my local lexus dealer and they said it wasn't possible..but then again, that coming from the same guys who told me i can never get a smart card to work with my car..even though i know it's possible any many of you have done so.. >.<

any help would be appreciated! it's just so annoying to have to push the button every time i drive off -_-

 

The answer to your question is a no. It's only an ON/OFF feature really and if it's ON, the only way it goes down is if you're in reverse but it comes back up when you drive off.

if you dont want it to go back up, why not just turn it off?

 

because i like being able to use it on those hot sunny days. it just gets annoying when it comes back up, especially when you put it up in the afternoon and head out at night >.<

 

hmm... ok. i would just turn it off at night then. on a side note, does that thing actually do anything? i never use mine and really see no point in it.

There are no customizable settings in the CBEST for the sunshade. I can confirm this for a fact.

 

don't use mine either, figure it might break if I did.

 

This feature can be adjusted through the personalized settings menu. I think you can alter the delay time from when the car is in gear and when the shade goes back up. I love mine. I use it 100% of the time this time of the year.

 

Mine's on all the time. It's there. Use it.
