Default Any idea what this is????

I have no idea what this is...I just got car from mercedes dealer and they didnt know either.
It just hangs behind sunvisor and runs through the "A" post trim.

need a clearer pic can't really see it, could be a wire for a radar detector that someone owned before on the car.

my guess is v1 radar detector hardwire (or for some other radar detector). it looks like a phone line cable?

especially it goes through the a pillar, probably tapped into the cigarette lighter for power?

Looks like an RJ45 ethernet jack. Plug a laptop into it and see if any **** comes up.

Its a plug for popcorn machine when u get sleep driving a comfortable car ( on a serious note its looks like a radar detector's power supply plug)

Could be a connector for external XM/Sirius. Again, need a clearer pic or a description of what it looks like.

if its like a phone jack, then it might be from a Valentine one radar... but need clear picture of it

Pretty sure it's a radar hardwire from the previous owner. Valentine's use the phone type connector for sure, some other models may as well.

Yes definitely for a radar detector. Either V1 or Escort 9500 series.

You can either hook up your radar detector using that wire, or just remove it. There are posts in the DIY section on how to hardwire a V1. You would be doing that in reverse.
