Default Tire Sizing advice needed...please

Can you guys tell me if this setup will work on a 2007 GS350 AWD without issues:

255/30/20 on a 8.5" rim
275/30/20 on a 10" rim
Falken FK452 tire/ TSW rims
Thanks!

That's a tight fit. If you're into that.

i don't see the point of running different spec tires front and rear

either you do 255/30/20 and 275/25/20 (spec), or 255/35/20 and 275/30/20 (1" overspec)

and btw, any reason why you want to do 255 on 8.5? it will fit, but to me it's a bit wide, i like 245 more. especially you are trying to do 275 in the back

Romini

Is it safe to say that for 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears... 245/35 and 275/30 are a perfect fit? I don't want a tight fit.

if you ask me, that's my recommendation. the front is a bit "thicker" but good enough to me. whether you go with 35(front) and 30(rear) profile is up to you, that's overspec but give you more cushions.

i remember you don't particularly like stretched, you prefer more meaty setup, and i think this is pretty good for you

I'm buying this setup used. The guy had it on a 2006 gs430 with a little bit of rubbing on the rear when he had passengers in the back.

WAIT A MINUTE, you have awd?!???

if so, the tires will be terrible idea for you!!!!!!! 255/30 and 275/30, they are totally different spec and they will throw off your awd system and you will get into problems. you can't run that tire spec front and rear

Would i need to swap the 255/30 for a 245/35 to make it right?

Thanks rominl!!

if you are keeping 275/30/20, personally i would use 245/35/20, or even 235/35/20, for front

when running tires on AWD car, the front and rear should be same rolling diameter.

275/30/20 and 235/35/20 both have same rolling diameter of 26.5" and circumference of 83.2"

you can put the sizes in a tire calculator to figure it out.

245/35/20 sounds like it would give me more of a cushion up front with without AWD issues correct? Will this rub on DF210? or should i just get 235/35? How tolerant is the AWD system?

AMSMIKE-Thanks for the tire calculator also!

You'll be fine in the front for the DF, especially if you go 235. The rear may depending on the offsets of the wheels.

What offsets are you looking at here?

Not sure of the offsets. The rims are TSWs 8.5 front and 10 rear from a 2006 GS430 RWD. I never thought about this before BUT it should fit 350 AWD...right?
