TSIB question....
so i talked to lexus sales manager and i got this:
CPO warranty is 3 years or 100k miles Comprehensive warranty. It should cover most problems but not all. It should cover defects, engine, drive train, electrical etc.. But it will not cover wear and tear items such as tires, brakes, paint, or any road hazard.
so say your nav die, they will cover it. but if you get rattle, then it's up to them to consider if it's wear and tear, or if it could be defect. all up to SA. cpo is not just power train

This happened to me too. My trunk motor stopped working. The only way to open it was with the key. I found that there was a TSIB for this so I took it to my service advisor, I was told the motor was shot and it would be like $900 or so to fix since the warranty had long expired it would not be covered under the TSIB. So my S.A. says go home call lexus directly and mention your situation and they may cover half the cost (I have a great S.A.) so I did and Lexus was willing to cover half, long story short my painter fixed my trunk motor for free (unknowingly).

sounds like a loose connection vs a shot motor, no one can bring a shot trunk motor back to life LOL
thank you for the clarification rominl! I really appreciate it, i'll probably CALL lexus next time i get a rattle.... the last one costed me 100 bucks.... and the technician told me it was just cutting 3 clips and that was the end of the rattles....

My understanding is that each TSIB specifies under which warranty it is covered by, i.e. 4yr/60K bumper-to-bumper or 7yr/70K powertrain. Every TSIB I've seen specifies one or the other warranty.
thanks homieg =]
it's been a few months and my service manager asked me why i haven't been in lately, which is good lol.... i only came in to get an oil filter (they truly treat you like garbage if you roll in with a toyota, did you guys know that? 1st time i rolled in on my girlfriend's camry they told me to park it all the way at the front and walk back here to get my parts.... 2nd time around i parked my lexus, didn't say nothing to no one, walked in got my parts and came out, they left me alone lol)
