that underneath the paint of our roof moldings that run from front to back window is chrome?? not in this picture but it is. i accidentally got some air craft remover on a small spot. and noticed metal underneath. well its not chrome chrome, but can be polished to a chrome. possibly stainless. i did one side. took me 4 hours. i would post pics but i know how most you guys feel about chrome so i didnt bother. just fyi. well see how it comes out. if i dont like it i can just paint it.
haha, i just posted there. yeah, so the 2gs is metal molding also.. but theres is coverd with vynl tape. and im not sure but i think there all black. ours are painted.
Yeah, I'm quite confused as well. The closest thing I can think of to an "air craft remover" is a giant crane or an excavator with a claw attached to cut it into parts for recycling.
My local dealer apparently closed a gate on my car and left dents on both sides of the rear window, so good to know it wont rust.
How big of a bottle of chemicals does it take to remove aircrafts and how does one end up with a problem such as this?

HAHAHA. air craft paint striper.. its like paint thinner, just 10 times stronger. available at any parts house. damn you guys got me really LOL
really? when i had my roof wrapped, they didnt mention anything to me about having to remove them.
They told me they know how to remove on BMW, Audi, MB, and VW but never worked with Lexus, so they do not want to brake it or not be able to put it back correctly....
