i had mine fixed back in 4/2008 (it was the intake camshaft gear free play according to the dealership) at around 29k miles, and it's been good since... however, the problem's returned at 52k miles again. the dealership told me that unless they can duplicate the problem, they can't do anything about it, since they fixed it the first time under TSIB. Is there any BETTER/EASIER way to tackle this situation? I'd hate to return to the dealership only to hear that they can't duplicate the issue and thus I'd have to wait longer before taking it in and getting similar results. total waste of my time...

all you can do is capture the thing on camera. good luck with that.

if you do succeed, you can then call and email lexus HQ the video. They will download it and look at it. And they may grant you another fix.

but do you really want to take it in for the same old bandaid fix (which in your case, failed) every 25000 miles?

I'd say suck it up and just accept that this car is not perfect (is any car?), and that your car is getting old and will continue to lose a huge chunk of its value every year.
