I'm fixing to move into a new apartment. They don't have attached garages but a parking garage that's gated. This is a concern for me b/c i don't like having my car exposed to the elements...like getting keyed or doored by another car....most importantly being broken into. I understand if you leave stuff in your car that may attract a possible theft....but my main concern is how easy would it be for someone to steal my car?? I know they have to have the key fob to even start it, but i'm sure that there's a lot of criminals out there that know their way around it.....
Your thoughts and info are greatly appreciated!!!!!
i would say that you have more of a chance of your car getting broken into then completely stolen. if your really worried id defiently go with a brand like viper because you can get a version of lowjack that actually works. (lowjack only works in certain locations. but this version works everywhere). its what im getting in a month or so.
but the cheapest option is to cover your vin number!!!! theives are getting smarter. all they need is your vin then they go to a lexus dealer.. or whichever brand your car is and they give them the vin number, drop 300 bucks on the keys with the transponder and steal your car without any alarm going off. just a tip, its what all the honda guys are doing now.. since there keys (older cars without transponders) are like 55 bucks.
