my gf actually called cuz she was gonna have it installed for my bday gift. apparently you can't install any old speakers according to him.. he tells her he knows because he owns a Lexus himself. haha! so I'm assuming he quoted her for new speakers, amps, and installation. what a JOKE! I'm thinkin about going down there and having a few words with his manager.

that's just a subwoofer though.... FYI: MOST... almost ALL audio shops hustle you and could give two ****s.... at least in the orlando/kissimmee area they could give two ****s... i'm having my buddy do mine's for materials only, simply because he's my good friend haha

if you have ML in your GS then that is kinda true. You can just put anything in there and have it pair up.

Sure you can. I have the ML set up and just got my aftermarket sub and amp installed last weekend. I think you just need a line out converter for it to be compatible w/ the ML system - and their really easy to install.

As long as you set the gains and crossovers correctly, it blends in superbly w/ the rest of the ML system.

But to the original OP, I got the amp install, and custom box built for the sub for about $240. They did a great stealthy-look job too.

coming from a back ground of installing I know exactly why they wanted 1500$......they did not want to do the install for what ever reason lol. I would once in a while get some garbage car with garbage equipment and the customer would insist on installing it so I would make up a price i knew they would not pay.... once in a while it does back fire tho.

hey mike, this is ivan. i think you should take a peek at my homeboy's gs350 awd. he got a similar set up to what you're looking at doing. might be a good idea to point you in the right direction as to how to do it. i think you met him before but just briefly. his screen name on here is "beaconhill" but i don't know if he has a build thread.

I have a friend who use to be the head auto tech inside bestbuy (yeah...bestbuy but they were the only ones who would work with his hours being a full-time UW student). Hes now a electrical tech for Aerojet... He'd probably do it for you for a cheaper price because i know hes always looking for extra cash. Hes very good with his electrical and does a clean job.

thats his little background thing that hasn't been updated for a while... n yes, he is also the guy who was on the 1st season of TopShot lol. PM me if you want me to ask him, We're in the Renton/Kent area.
