No. Different spark plugs don't make power. At least not in any standard engine.

You should use only the exact part number from your owners manual, others that claim to be "compatible" have been reported to be too short.

I looked at what might need to come out to get access to all of the plugs and decided to make it somebody elses problem, it's just too much of a pain to attempt yourself on this car IMHO.

Only use ORIGINAL plugs denso. dont cheap out. they cost around $15 a plug from carson or other dealers online.

I got original plugs and did not mess around. they have a tripple prong on them. dont buy some other junkers that are "compatible"

if you really have to ask how hard to replace the spark plugs, i highly suggest you let the dealer swap them and only with OEM parts

The originals are irridium and they shouldn't have to be replace until close to 100k miles.

ive changed spark plugs before, on "normal" engines

when i took the engine covers off to isntall the K&N intake and saw the mess of wiring, it looked overwhelming.. thats why i asked.

The original plugs are Denso plugs. The OEM plugs I got from Carson were two pronged if I remembered right, though that was for GS300 - the part number is the same, though. I believe that another manufacturer is also listed as OEM plugs, perhaps they are different - I forgot what the other manufacturer is though.

In any case, the two pronged Denso plugs I installed seem to be working fine.

It must be 60K miles because it's 96,000 km in Canada. I replaced mine a bit early just because it was convenient and because I drive around only 10,000km a year it'll be a very long time until I have to worry about it again.
