I have bought a one year old GS350 with only 1200 miles which had black dots (silver clear coat coming off). I think that it was caused by break dust from dusty breaks and wax. I had the dealer replace wheels and breakes. 5000 miles later and wheels still look like new. Rear wheels didn't have a problem which I assume the problem is caused by break dust and not wax.
