All other car companies have their ECU chips cracked.... but somehow, no one can crack a Lexus ECU..... The question is; IS it UNcrackable, or no one actually tried cracking one..?

Even if they did manage to "crack" it, it would be illegal to sell/use in the US due to the DMCA (due to breaking encryption/protection). A direct replacement ECU would be the only legal method unless someone could erase the whole Lexus ECU and write their own custom one.

IF you got her an Infiniti M35 I would have told you to see Technosquare for the awesome ECU package. There is no market for Lexus ECU tuning I guess. It just never seems to get as much love from the aftermarket as Infiniti

well theres probably a huge market for the G35. i doubt you'll find a market for the 3GS. maybe the 2IS or IS-F.

I really hope tuning companies acknowledge the existence of Lexus.... Cobb tuning should perhaps produce one, since they have one for almost all Japanese manufacturers but ours...

maybe the other way, coz' they can't get anything to work on toyota? lexus aside, there are a lot of toyota that can use ecu retune, and the market is much bigger. but i haven't really seen any except full stand alone ecu

its all about the market behind the part. if you were the company making this chipped ecu and only had say 10 people interested, would it be worth your time for r&d to make these?

most times when people want a part to be made for their car, the company will ask for 50 people to sign up and do a deposit so they can atleast make some profit.

Toyota/Lexus ECUs are nigh uncrackable. Believe me, it's not for the lack of market or trying. Whoever gets there first is likely to become a legend.

Toyota's Computer engineers> Nissan's

So if I get the harness for the ECU, I cannot use Apexi PowerFC to alter A/F parameters? Advance fuel timings atleast?
