Farewell to GS
After 27 months of taking my 07 GS350 AWD back to dealership 4x to address dash rattle which by the way still sqeaks and rattle. Each time it was there it stayed for a week at shop. 3x I had the mirrors checked because the tilt feature started to malfunction when reversing & each time I was told by service rep that it was normal function. Bought it in one time for fuel rail recall on top of this. 2x I had to take my car back after installing f-sport sway bars because it clunks and thumps when going over bumps which still makes noise, I finally said goodbye and traded it for an 08 BMW 650i. What a difference ! The Bimmer has a sport suspension and is rock solid. No rattles & is compliant over bumps. I had a little buyer's remorse when I purchased the Lexus but even though the BMW cost more I have no regrets and smile everytime I get in it to drive. This was my first Lexus and they really need to address issues in quality, my impression at first was that they are solid and reliable and quiet cars. Apparently they are not, but I must say they have wonderful customer service.
I get more looks and stares now then I did with the GS.
I think the 6 is a beautiful car until I get to the rear. I recall an automotive magazine article in which the writer asked why BMW required that the car be backed into a guard rail just before it left the factory.
I'd trade Ian Callum for the Bangle nitwit in a heartbeat.

Based on friends and forums I have read (there are numerous BMW ones). I guess you haven't read my post properly, as I said they do fix it in the US because of the lemon law. They don't do rattle and squeak/rattle fixes here unless you starting annoying the manager of the dealership and they just might do "goodwill" repairs.
People have a hard time convincing my local dealer (Brian Jessel) to fix mechanical problems, let alone squeaks and stuff. They would laugh if you asked them to fix a loose speaker or heat shield for example (or would just outright charge you for it).
