Default Pulling Fenders

I want to get my fender pulled to fit a set of wheels. Any thoughts on doing this. Anyone have any pictures with this done. Will i need to paint my fenders again after its done. I need probably about a one inch pull all the way around.

Thanks Jimmy

If you roll your fenders and use plenty of heat from a heat gun (but do not bubble the paint), you should be able to roll without cracking the paint. If the car has been repainted, that could cause an issue.

A 1" pull is fairly significant....remember, we have flat fenders, so you don't want to mess up the profile. Plus, you have to eventually taper the pull where the bumper mounts to the fender, so don't distort the lines too much or it will not line back up.

you're fenders are gonna look like those hondas with "duckbill'd" fender looks... it's not going to come out right, it's time for a widebody conversion if you really want a full inch of play

1" pull that's quite a lot. as mark mentioned, our fenders are flat and if you want to do it right, imho, you won't be able to keep the factory lines and paint

pulling fenders is pushing it. IMHO shaving is the safest, then rolling, then pulling. Are you trying to go with a hardcore VIP look?? I always manage to still see the waves in the metal. I would strongly recommend doing a set of wheels with a slightly less aggressive offset

its amazing people spend exorbitant amounts of money to jerry rig their car. You have a nice car, keep it clean without bastardizing it.

Actually, I would roll then pull. When you shave, the small lip of metal that's left will tear up your roller when you try to pull. Done right, you will not see any waves when you roll and pull. I've done about 50 fenders and the only one that had waves was my very first....

I disagree.....rolling and pulling is not bastardizing. It’s a form of modification…..

I feel the same way, but I don't presume to tell people what they should like or dislike about their own car. I would never go as far as to mess with the body of the car just to fit wheels on it, but I'm not one of the people that thinks huge wheels on the GS looks good to begin with. To each their own... I'd rather keep the money in the bank to put towards keeping the car running well in the long run.

I was just trying to see if its worth modding my fender to fit these wheels that i like a lot. They are a good deal, but it seems like its too much trouble to fit those wheels. I will just wait for another good deal.

It was a pain in the *** trying to get the fenders trimmed and filed down by hand but it worked very well. I have practically launched the car on large road oscillations to really see if I can get it to rub. So far so good. I think the trick for my car was actually filing the rear fender brackets. I filed it down to meet the fender well trim.

Pretty much. Check out the vendors section, vendors are constantly having sales on wheels. MC3 Wheels are giving "insane" pricing, maybe there is something you like. Custom everything so you won't have to mod or if you want flushed wheels, they can make it happen.
