Rarely would this occur on OEM paint. It is generally an issue with aftermarket paint that was prepped and primed poorly. Glad to hear no paint came up.Originally Posted by slk_dds

I'm not a big fan of clear bra because it's so expensive. What you're getting for essentially close to $500 is a piece of thick saran wrap that will dry out and become opaque and/or yellow over time. I'd rather save the money and have the hood and fenders resprayed five years down the road rather than have to respray them anyways because the color underneath the wrap doesn't match.Just my .02 cents.

How much to do the entire car?
I've seen how the paint look different between the part that is covered and not. The clear bra have a different finish so it look different comparing to the regular paint. But what's bad is when you peal out the protection the paint under it looks great making the unprotected part looks old.
So, the best is to do the entire car. Protect all over.

that's not a smart idea at all for daily driver. clear bra protects the car from rock chips, but it's not maintenance free. tree saps, bugs, water spots, etc... they can actually eat into the clear bra relatively easy and they are permanent damage. upkeep of clear bra is very much neededOriginally Posted by worker

and to do a full car? i guess you can think of at least 6-7k, that's probably on the "cheap" side.
unprotected part looks old, that's an indication you need some good detailing
