Default BBK questions

I've been searching for BBK for 3GS but apparently not that many of us has it. I am leaning towards the F-sport BBK since it is OE product and guaranteed fitment. Any other brands that will fit without hassle? thanks for any inputs.

Fit what, your stock wheels? The F-Sport kit will indeed fit the OEM 18's, but they're not "OE product." It's an aftermarket StopTech product warranted by Lexus.

Because StopTech makes the F-Sport brake kit, you can't buy a StopTech-branded kit for the 2IS or 3GS in any country where F-Sport accessories are sold. So if you want StopTech, it's gonna have to the the F-Sport kit.

oh really? so that means stoptech doesn't have anything under their brand for 3gs and 2is coz' they are supporting the fsport stuff? that's very interesting.

seriously, i am very tempted to put the brembo 2is kit on the gs

I had a Stop tech stage 2 kit on my G35 and it was an amazing set up. The durability and quiet operation was remarkable.

I have the poor mans BBK upgrade "looks" much better but I cant honestly say I feel any difference. I did mine since I was adding some HP to the car and of course for the looks. With the 6 pot Rotora the OEM 18" rims just barely fit if that helps. 6 pot up front and 4 in the rear is more then enough for our car.

Pic w/ my summer rims...

Henry hurry up with the Brembo kit They look sooooo nice on Javy's car

I have the JBT 6 piston front and 4 piston rear. It's the same as Rotora just costs a little more. Rotora and JBT do make a 8 piston kit for the front. F-Sport is a good kit too considering it has a manufacturers warranty on it.

what do you mean you can't feel any difference? are you saying that your bbk does not provide better braking performance compared to the oem brakes?

possible. bbk doesn't necessarily means better braking. in fact a lot of times the braking distance might stay more or less the same. but brake fading and such would be much improved with bbk

of all the bbk i have yet, i would say my project u now falls into that category. normal braking is probably just about the same as stock, but less brake fade on long trips. on the other hand my stoptech on the sc430 was insane, it stopped the car so fast i had to look out for cars behind me
