NOP, the GS460 in all countries lacks a gasoline DI engine. Thats why Im really frustrated of the detune

 

i doubt quality in gas has anything to do with it....unless it's more dirty and some spec'd cars have bigger fuel filters or tighter fuel filters... either way i don't think it's just a matter of fuel ratings.... they shouldnt detune a vehicle based on quality.... because the car will just retard timing or something to pull off power

 

Bad news!!

Our GS460's are all de-tuned as to not compete with the Direct Injection handicapped LS460.

This is stupid! I paid for 342 HP's not 322 !!!!

Thats the exact reason for my frustration! If I knew about the detune before hand, I would have considered another car lol. The only reason that I can think for this move is that our dealership do not want the LS and GS to have the same HP since we lack DI cars here :/..

 

people have discussed that possibility but it's a weak one. previous generation gs400/430 and ls430 both had the same hp, in fact ls430 had a bit less hp for a while.
